5km around Binham, North Norfolk on "Conservation" paths. The map can be found on the DEFRA website as "Manor Farm near Wells-Next-The-Sea. (See comments for a description of the route) Posted by Hello

Start in the village of Binham and take time to look at the old houses, market cross and Binham Priory.
Opposite Manor Farm take the track north. Turn right on the minor road for a few yards then take the "conservation path" in the field on your left, which skirts a new plantation to rejoin the road. Cross and take a track which leads to a gate onto meadows with a good crop of cowslips and lady's mantle, but passes a somewhat unsightly storage yard and confusing stile, which leads nowhere. (A good map would have helped me with the next section.)
Cross the meadow and stream to a gate opposite. Then, with a hedge to your left, climb the gentle slope until you can see the way ahead (south). Descend to cross a stream and after another gate the path runs straight ahead with a hedge on your right. At the minor road turn right. (there's another apparently redundant stile here too)
Take the first field entrance on your left and follow the path, which at first doubles back, and then runs alongside a drainage ditch for about 1 km and passes Foxburrow Farm. At the Binham to Hindringham road turn right and take the new path on the edge of the field, which takes you back to Manor Farm, Binham.

Although not the most spectacular walk in Norfolk, this is pleasant enough and Binham village makes up for any lack of intersest on the path. The farmers and DEFRA are to be congratulated for creating these new paths, but the signage and publicity could be better.
